Achievement Rate Exclusions
View contentsThe Achievement Rate Exclusions report lists aims which are excluded from the Apprenticeship and ET Achievement Rates. If a learner or aim is not appearing in the Achievement Rates and it is not clear why, this report helps to identify the reason.
The exclusion rules are detailed in the relevant Achievement Rate specifications:

Parameters
- Centre – This can be used to filter by centre.
- Contractor – This can be used to filter by contractor.
- Started on or after – Only shows aims which started on or after this date.
- Started on or before – Only shows aims which started on or before this date.
- Ignore live learners – When set to the default of Yes, live aims will not be shown in the results.
- Reason for exclusion – This can be used to filter by the different reasons for exclusion. Please note that if an aim has multiple reasons for exclusion, only one of these is recorded against it.
- Show App / ET/ Other - This determines the exclusion tables to show in the report.
- QAR ruleset - This lets you choose the achievement rates ruleset to run (e.g. 2014/15 will use the rules from the 2014/15 QAR specification, 2015/16 will use the 2015/16 specification, etc). Whichever ruleset you choose, those rules will be applied to all contract years used in the report.
- Ready to run - Set this to Yes once all other parameters have been set. This prevents the report from running automatically.
Layout
The report lists aims which are excluded from the Apprenticeship and ET Achievement Rates. For each aim the report shows the key dates, the days in learning, whether it is excluded from the overall and timely cohorts and the reason for exclusion from the overall / timely cohorts.
The report is split into three tables: Apprenticeship exclusions, ET exclusions and a third table listing learners who are not counted in both the Apprenticeship and the ET Achievement Rates.
