Course Attendance
The Course Attendance page allows you to mark attendance records for learners on courses. This works in conjunction with the courses module in Maytas, allowing you to plan and structure courses in Maytas and then record attendance in Maytas Hub as each course session takes place (e.g. on a mobile or tablet device in the classroom).
Course Attendance requires a licence for the courses module. If you already have a licence, please contact Maytas Support for instructions on how to make Course Attendance available in Maytas Hub. If you are interested in purchasing a licence for the courses module, please contact your account manager.
To access Course Attendance, select Course Attendance from the toolbar.
First you must search for the attendance records to update. There are a number of filters to narrow down the results:
- Department – The course department
- Course – The base course
- Stream – The stream of the selected course
- Assessor – The assessor associated with the course stream
- Status – The status of the learners on the course stream (active, completed or withdrawn)
- Start / End Date – The results will show course periods which take place between these two dates. These default to show course periods in the last day.
- Day filter – The days of the week to include
When you have configured the filters as required, click Search. This will show a list of learners and their course periods between the two selected dates.
You can then enter the appropriate attendance records as required using the dropdown boxes. When finished, click Save.
A configuration option can be set which allows you to specify one or more attendance statuses as late, which will enable the new notes functionality for late statuses:
-
Go to Settings on the sidebar.
-
Click the System Configuration button.
-
Go to Courses on the left (under the Maytas 5 header).
-
Tick the box for the permission Late statuses and select the attendance statuses you wish to designate as late.
-
Click Save.
When you select one of the late statuses on the Course Attendances screen, a window will appear where you can enter the number of minutes the learner was late and the reason they were late.
This can be edited later by clicking the
button at the far right of the entry, which will display the details window again.
