Create a New Profile

To create a new profile:

  1. Select Management on the toolbar and click Profiles on the ribbon.
  2. Click New on the ribbon.
  3. Enter a Description for the profile (e.g. ESFA 2018/19).
  4. Optionally select the profile Type from the dropdown box, or simply enter a type into the box.
  5. Select the Contract Year from the dropdown box.
  6. Optionally enter a version number. This is useful if you want to create variations on the same profile.
  7. Optionally enter a reference code.
  8. Optionally enter a variation date.
  9. Click Next.
  10. You will see a list of available companies/contractors. Click the arrow to the left of a company to show the contracts within it. Select the contract on which you wish to base the profile and click Next.

  11. Choose one of the following profiling methods:

    Only the methods relevant to the selected contract are displayed.

    • SFA Profile, with data taken from funding views - Creates a profile based on an ESFA contract and the Maytas 5 funding views.
    • SFA Profile, from claims generated by Maytas - Creates a profile based on an ESFA contract where the claims are generated in the contracts module.
    • EFA Profile, with data taken from funding view - Creates a profile based on an EFA contract and the Maytas 5 funding views.

    • EFA Profile, with claims generated by Maytas - Creates a profile based on an EFA contract where the claims are generated in the contracts module.

      For options where Maytas generates the claims, these must be processed in the contracts module. Please see the Contracts page for information on processing claims.

      Click Next once you have chosen an option.

  12. Select the facts to profile on. At least one fact must be selected. Click Next when finished.
  13. Select the dimensions to include in the profile. These will form the grouping categories. Click Next when finished.
  14. Each dimension you include will add a step to the wizard which allows you to choose which particular values for the dimension will be included in the profile. Choose the values as required and click Next when finished.
  15. Once the values for all selected dimensions have been chosen, click Finish to create the profile.
