View contentsThe Reports Library is a comprehensive suite of reports covering each area of the system. These reports are standard to all customers and are separate to the user reports created in Report Generator.
How to Import a Report Package
Report packages contain one or more Maytas 5 reports and have a filename extension of .m5rep (e.g. ReportsPackage.m5rep). These files can be imported into Maytas 5 in order to add new reports or update existing ones.
To import a report package:
- In Maytas 5, click Import on the Reports panel on the ribbon.
- This will display the Report Import wizard. Click +Add Files.
- Browse to and select the report package file, then click Open.

The reports contained within the package will be listed in the wizard. The following is shown for each report:

File Name – The file name for the individual report.
This should not be edited. Changing the file name may cause some reports to stop working correctly.
- Report Name – The report name which will be displayed in Maytas 5.
- Description – A brief description of the report.

Path – The folder in which the report will be stored in Reporting Services Report Manager.
This should not be edited unless you are otherwise instructed.
- Keywords – These are words which are associated with the report when using the search tool. If you wish to add your own keywords, each word or phrase should be comma-separated (e.g. search1,search2,search3).

Click Finish to import the reports. A message will appear for each report, and once all reports have been imported there will be a Completed message at the bottom of the wizard.
Some reports may include a message such as “The text box extends beyond the bottom edge of its container” or “Overlapping report items are not supported in all renderers”. These are report formatting warnings only and can be safely ignored as they do not impact the functionality of the reports.
- Click Finish again.
How to Run a Report
To run a report in Maytas 5:
- Click Report Library on the Reports panel on the ribbon.
- Hover the mouse over the relevant folder, then select the required report from the list.
- With most reports you will be prompted to select a number of parameters. Details of the parameters for each report can be found on the below pages.
- When all parameters have been entered, click View Report.
Please note that some reports may take a while to load as they process large amounts of data. On large databases, it is highly recommended to limit filter parameters to a few values to reduce the loading time.
